Back in late 2004, 1SYNC (then UCCnet) and Ontuet collaborated on an idea to create a one-stop-shop for all trading partners. Prior to this, many suppliers would follow the direction of their retail trading partners and "sign up" with 1SYNC. Past this point, however, they were measurably lost as to the next steps in the process.
With thousands of suppliers unsure of how to proceed, the net effect was that suppliers would see no real benefit in data synchronization. We all knew differently and placed the onus on our shoulders to rectify the situation. As a result we developed the Onboard Support program to give suppliers and select retailers a way to sign one agreement, make one payment and get that end-to-end solution. No longer would a supplier be required to seek out their own Solution Partner; the solution was part of the deal.
Ontuet, along with 1SYNC, pioneered this program, beginning in March of 2005. Ontuet was the first Solution Partner actively brought into the program after an extensive evaluation process. 1SYNC wanted to ensure that they had selected only the best Solution Providers for such a undertaking. Ontuet, and eventually three other providers, have continued to make the Onboard Support program a success ever since.
